Overview

Welcome, this is a massive 26? level custom rundown featuring large maps, complex multi-layered objectives, and the occasional cursed scan, all designed while I was very stoned. Expect difficulty, chaos, lots of tanks, and tame ridiculousness. But nothing outright unfair! I made sure of this.

If you enjoy big levels, heavy combat, reactors, survival objectives, creepy log files, fog sequences, bug hunting, replaying levels, and occasionally asking “why would he do this?”, then you're in the right place. Please enjoy!

Acknowledgements

A massive thank you to:

  • Hirnukuono — the grand wizard of GTFO modding knowledge, finder of bugs, and savior of broken levels.
  • W33B — for allowing me to use Arsenality as the weapon set.
  • The GTFO Modding Discord — for support and guidance.

Level Quality Notes

Levels from C3 and onward, plus all extended missions (C3.1, C6.1, C6.75, etc.) are generally the most polished and mechanically complex. The earlier levels tend to be more basic. Rest assured as time moved on I became more comfortable adding more things to levels.

Everything is verified to the best of my ability, but occasionally something slips through — feel free to report anything odd.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
