Content introduction

OK! Here's the deal about this model.

Let's face it! Keyboards and mice are great, but they're not designed for driving games, right?

So, what’s wrong with the keyboard? Every time you press A or D, the car goes everywhere, especially when you're cruising slowly around town.

The solution? This model! ! ! \otype/

Section 1.2

change:

-Fixed all s**** since last update (brakes back to normal);

  • Now there are two options - moving to 1.7 and 2.0

-that's all! If you see some vehicles behaving strangely, please let me know. ;) (But be polite. Not like @ArGaMer.)

Section 1.1

(I didn't expect people to like these changes, but here are some updates.)

change:

  • All cars in one file (sweet, right? Or not... I don't know! You tell me.);
  • "Normal" tolerances for "super" cars;

-Better suspension (vanilla suspension sucks my d****!);

  • Added deformation options;

-Does not include police cars. (AI cannot handle these changes).

Tapping A or D lightly will now make the car behave like you are slowly turning the wheel left or right. You can also keep A or D on a wide curve. Underside? Making tight curves at slow speeds can be challenging, but if you calculate ahead of time (and with a little practice) it's not really a problem.

Another change: If you don't refuel, the car will keep going for a long time before coming to a stop. This prevents you from accelerating all the time.

Another problem is the poor stock braking system. Every time you hit the S button, the car stops like it's being driven by a 12-year-old, with an annoying "Ghiiirr!!!" (the sound of rubber hitting the ground) instead of a nice and soft "Hiss!!!" (brake discs squeezing against each other).

(I'm working on a way to eliminate the brief brake sounds, but no luck so far. If anyone knows how I can find these please let me know.)

The handbrake is smoother now. But the best part is using the handbrake (space) to slowly slow down your speed rather than locking the rear wheel immediately. You just keep your space and watch your car slowly come to a stop. If it doesn't stop in time, everything will be fine. ;)

Why didn't I change the brake strength? Because the AI, especially the police, couldn't handle the changes and started running around messing everything up. :(

I also made a version with slower acceleration options.

NOTE: This mod is not for everyone! Some people will love it, some people will hate it. I made these changes just for personal use, but then I decided to make it available to others because there were always people who liked it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
