About this mod Machine translation

JGTC Nissan Skyline R34 for SkylineGTRFreak

I tried to be as accurate as possible to the Xtreme Racer version and even remade some of the decals (except for the Burstspeed decals, I just used the Bridgestone logo on the Calsonic decals since it was of higher quality) since the original game's textures were so low resolution.

Luckily, his opponent icon looks perfect for the PS2 texture tear; although unfortunately the window sticker didn't come out either, and I'm not quite sure I'd even start trying to remake that one. Hopefully it won't be too distracting.

I also built a custom handling line that has a top speed of about 265 mph and more handling capabilities.

I also made the optional adjustments to the tires by removing the Potenza and Bridgestone brands.

Install:

  • Open OpenIV, go to: update.rpf>x64>dlcpacks>jgtc34>dlc.rpf>x64>vehicles.rpf
  • Replace jgtc34.ytd with either of the two in this package (one for livery, one for livery+tyres)
  • For handling, replace the handling.meta file in jgtc34>dlc.rpf>data with the file in this mod.
  • Go to LS Customs and pick dress #5 from the list.

Update log:

V1.02

  • Adjusted the text on the hood to be more centered, resized the hood "MIRAGE" text to the same size as the left and right sides
  • Handling line changes: Handbrake actually works now

V1.01

  • Adjusted the left and right Outlaws 13 logos to be the same size as the hood and roof logos
  • Handling line changes: Slightly less acceleration and top speed, less grip, more burnout

I tried to make it as accurate to the Xtreme Racer version as possible, even remaking a few of the decals (Except the Burstspeed decal, i just used the Bridgestone logo on the Calsonic livery since it's way higher quality) since the original game's textures are so low-res.

Fortunately, his rival icon looks pretty good for a PS2 texture rip; though unfortunately the window sticker didn't turn out as well, and i'm not quite sure where i'd even start trying to remake that. Hopefully it's not too distracting.

I've also made a custom handling line to go with it, which gives it a top speed of about 265 MPH, and grippier handling.

I also made an optional tweak to the tires by removing the Potenza & Bridgestone branding.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
