About this mod Machine translation
When you use Radiance V, VisualV, or any mod that comes with its own visualsettings.dat file, you'll have tons of bright taxi advertising signs. Here's the solution. As you can see in the photo, they're nowhere near that bright or blinding, and you can't even see the ads themselves. I'm using my own customized visualsettings.dat file with higher values than the Radiance V or VisualV settings, so your taxi ads won't be as bright as mine.
Some of the color values in visualsettings.dat come from Kevin56436, check out his Realistic Hidden Lights mod.
I included my own visualsettings.dat file which improves the lods of the ped model (ideal for plugin Peds or replacing peds with HQ downloaded from here) I made the car slightly taller. Use my visualsettings.dat file and your siren will be brighter and visible down the road. I've also included a prompt text file so you can edit the lines yourself as well as the lines for certain lines.
As a bonus, I also included the vanilla rain textures, but I reduced them by half. I think the raindrops are too big. Also included is a starry sky texture with shooting stars. You can choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 shooting stars in the sky and add more stars. Or just more stars in the sky and no shooting stars.
Installation instructions and tips for visual setup are in a text file.
Also included in the text file is how to darken your nights.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
