About this mod Machine translation
Mario and his friends hitchhiked to Los Santos (which they mistakenly thought was New Donk City), expecting a completely relaxing vacation. They all have some limited facial animation, as a bonus, so you can see their lip sync. Don't think their cartoon eyes allow for blinking.
It is recommended to use Add-On Peds! But if you want to replace any of the peds (which I don't recommend because you'll get weird plumbers wandering around with funny missing parts), it's provided in the readme file.
It is highly recommended to use a trainer such as Simple Trainer or Native Trainer. With Simple Trainer, you can even save the way they were generated, so you don't have to keep using annoying clothing options. As far as I know, the Simple Trainer also lets you change clothes, so unless you're happy with eyeless Mario, buttonless Luigi, or a disembodied Joker jacket, you should be using the trainer. And if Luigi isn't looking straight ahead, it's the wrong eye!

Characters will break some animations. This is most noticeable when Mario and Luigi are riding bikes, and their upper spines break (possibly due to misaligned bones affecting the IK, but can't confirm). Warn you in advance, so please don't complain.

Because of the way the .ymt is set up (so far it seems difficult, if not impossible, to edit those) sometimes the model may produce missing parts. Using a trainer and adjusting via the "ped clothes" option should let you fix it. This is especially important if you want to make a good Youtube video demonstrating my mod! I've seen videos with incomplete characters, so please be careful.
Most plumbers' driving animations, due to bone changes, will cause them to sink out of their seats or even stick out from under the car. Seems silly, but you probably won't be able to race karts in a nice way unless someone is willing to create some scripts that help retarget them.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
