About this mod Machine translation

Update 1.2b (01.02.2019):

  • Added support for latest patch 1.0.1604.0

I'm super busy both in real life and in college - sorry it took me so long :P

•Don’t forget to update to the latest NativeUI version too!

Update 1.2 (25.05.2017):

•Added the ability to change the notification type inside the menu when changing the trigger mode. You can choose subtitles, map notifications, help text and none.

Update 1.1 (15.05.2017):

•Added controller/gamepad support.

Controller/gamepad ignition switches can also be customized in the game menu!

describe:

This mode aims to achieve more realistic weapon behavior by adding the ability to change the weapon's firing pattern. You can choose between full/auto (default), half and two different burst fire modes (the first mode requires you to release the trigger after firing, the other requires a delayed fire burst, like FAMAS in CoD: MW2), and you can change the number of shots. You can even go into safe mode and lock your gun. The keys used to switch between the 5 fire modes can be customized using the game menu. Don't like one of the available shooting modes or who needs 5 shooting modes you are considering now? Well, you can simply select the shooting mode you want to switch to!

Feature list:

•5 different weapon shooting modes

  • Shooting mode customization

•Customize the number of bursts

•Game menu (NativeUI)

•Ingame can change key distribution

•Ingame can change controller assignments

  • Custom notification types: subtitles, map notifications, help text and none

Purpose and features:

Press the selected key or controller/gamepad button to switch between the trigger modes of your choice.

Open the menu in-game by typing "FIREM", just like the old GTA cheats (e.g. JUMPJET in San Andres). (This is because almost every user has some function mapped on every f*cking key, and after configuring it once, you won't need that menu anymore)

Choose from 5 shooting modes:

•Security/Lock

•Half fire

  • Fully automatic (default)
  • Burst when triggered on release
  • Bursts between bursts (eg fully automatic but with delay)

Changed the number of shots fired by the burst of fire in the game menu. Available in 2, 3, 4 and 5 shots.

Choose how game indication triggers mode changes via notifications in the game menu. Available are subtitles, map notifications, help text and None.

To turn off this mod and all its features, uncheck "Mod enabled".

Save your settings and play with the same settings the next time you launch the game by selecting this button.

control:

As mentioned, the only control is the ignition mode switch. Keys and controller/gamepad buttons can be changed in the game menu. Just follow the steps shown on the screen. No INI required. It can be that simple.

  • Use keyboard to toggle trigger mode (Default: Capslock)
  • Switch trigger mode using controller/gamepad (Default: A)

Thanks and clarification:

EnforcerZhukov has a mod with similar functionality and some other fancy and nifty features. In his mod description you can read that I made the code for the shooting mode (=selective fire) functionality. After asking him if he wanted to continue using his mod and if I should help him, we came to the conclusion that I should continue what we started, and here are the bugfixes for the improved version! So I want to thank him now for his cooperation and the work he does for the community.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
