About this mod Machine translation
Because F.R stands for First Response, not Furious Ramming.
describe
This script is intended to help make LSPDFR chases less crazy and help NPC police officers behave themselves when chasing suspects. Check out the full description on the LSPD:FR page.
feature
NPC police will not attack suspects again.
NPC police officers will slow down when passing you, preventing accidents this way.
If the player gets close to the fleeing vehicle, the NPC police will allow the player to become the primary unit, leaving some space between them and the suspect's vehicle. If the player falls too far behind, they will take over the primary position again.
Require
LSPD:FR 0.3.1
How does it work?
Basically, the script slows down the police car based on the situation, not more. Check the source code below.
Install
Place "SaferChasesRPH.dll" and "SaferChases.ini" in the \Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\LSPDFR\ folder.
set up
You can change several settings in "SaferChases.ini" to adjust the behavior of the script to your liking.
Finetune police can pass you quickly [KM/H speed]
Allow master unit support [enable/disable]
Prevent NPC police from hitting suspects [enable/disable]
Debug notifications [enable/disable]
mistake
Not a bug, but potentially annoying. If you're using the "Allow Primary Units" feature, the cops behind you aren't as smart as they should be and can easily run into something, especially in the city. You can disable this feature in the .ini configuration file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
