About this mod Machine translation
NOTE: This mod is currently being completely rewritten. I missed a lot of things because of my rush. It would be simpler to just rewrite the whole thing. In addition to this, I also brought in contributions from Jedijosh.
If you are considering checking out this mod on video then I recommend waiting until 1.1 is released.
Bringing RDR's beloved features back to V - Presenting, RDR-Witnesses!
about
This mod brings back one of my favorite features of RDR, witnesses.
You no longer get a random wanted level when you commit a crime against absolutely no one.
Now, in order to get a wanted level, pedestrians must see you committing a crime and run away from you, then call the police.
You can hunt down these witnesses and kill them to get rid of any possible enthusiasm from law enforcement.
Note: People in the car are not counted as witnesses. If you disagree with this, please let me know and I'll update it to include it.

Let passers-by witness your crime and tell the police.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
