About this mod Machine translation
NOTE: This mod will not work with all model vehicles as some of them use their own dirt maps. You can still make this mod work on these vehicles by finding the vehicle dirt texture (usually in the vehicle ytd file) and replacing it with the raindrop texture from the vehshare.ytd provided with this download.
To use the menu, NativeUI needs to be installed in the scripts folder (

Many of you already know about Per_zeus' raindrop texture mod (
With this little script, the car only gets wet when it makes sense...
Once it rains, all vehicles will slowly get wet, and when the rain ends, the raindrops on the vehicle will slowly disappear/dry again... You can also enable the raindrop screen effect through the settings menu (F5) with raindrops falling on your game camera!

- Vehicles that were covered by rain (under bridges/garages etc.) are now slowly drying out. The vehicles already parked there are also dry.
- Rewritten raindrop effect on screen fixes some issues and ensures new raindrops will only appear when the camera is actually raining and is not covered
- Added new settings menu (default key F5) to allow you to control effects (note: if the menu annoys you, you can disable it permanently)

Many of you already know Per_zeus' raindrop texture mod ( But to enjoy the texture you had to manually set your car dirty (i.e. by trainer). Also your car became wet when you drove over dirt, which did not look really realistic.
With this little script the cars will only get wet when it makes sense...
Once it is raining all cars will slowly become wet, and when the rain is over, the raindrops on the cars will slowly disappear/dry again... You can also enable the Raindrops on Screen effect though the settings menu (F5) which makes the raindrops fall on your gameplay camera!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
