About this mod Machine translation
Based on the GTA IV armor-health-damage system, Positional Damage is a project focused on realism. As you know, body armor only covers the body, but what happens in GTA V if you get hit in the leg or arm? Yes, your armor is reduced and your health remains the same. On GTA IV, if you get hit in the leg, your health will be reduced even if you have body armor.
So I made this script to put this system on GTA V. The script detects where you were shot, if the body part is not "body" (your body armor is supposed to protect you), it knows how much damage you got (aka how much your armor was reduced) and puts the armor value back to its original value before shooting; then, takes the damage and reduces the health.
So, if you have 100% armor and 100% health, the vanilla game will reduce the armor when you get hit in the leg. This script reduces the health value. If you shoot the body, the armor value will be reduced. If you don't have armor, the script won't change anything. Script also knows where the damage comes from, so it can only do its job when you're hit by a non-melee weapon.
I've also included a "fatal headshot" add-on, so if you get hit in the head you die instantly! You can enable it in the provided INI file (it is disabled by default). You can activate another option that avoids instant kills but is able to achieve critical hits (your health will be reduced so much that it will almost kill you). .INI CONFIG FILE
The provided .ini file allows you to customize this mod, with the following options (add true/false on each as needed):
DeadlyHeadshots: Deadly headshot module. 1 shot to the head = dead.
HeavyDamageHeadshots: Headshots become critical hits; this means your health will drop dramatically, close to zero. Activating this with DeadlyHeadshots will have no effect as DH will kill you.
ClearLastDamaged: Pay attention to this option: it clears the character's "last damage type" flag. This is used to determine if you were hit by a gun (bullet), melee weapon, or something else, so it won't render if you fall as a headshot, for example, hit in the head. Problem: It may cause problems with other related mods, for example, my InjuredRagdoll script. So if you have problems with other mods, try disabling this feature.
Dependencies and installation
You need ScriptHookV and ScriptHookV DotNet to run this script. Place the DLL and INI files in the Grand Theft Auto V/scripts folder.
Known bugs and future projects
The "identify body part" system (in the game) is sometimes not very accurate, but the ATM system does it. The thing is, sometimes the bullets aren't just input (the game isn't very realistic).
During testing I had some CTD after dying 3 or 4 times, but maybe it was caused by the Afterdeath mod. Please let me know if your game crashes with or without this mod.
In my InjuredRagdoll model, although the LocationalDamage detects unarmored damage and destroys health, the injured Ragdoll will most likely detect armored damage and apply your armor hit settings.
Fatal headshots usually don't work if you're running an InjuredRagdoll script or something similar. The "Clear Last Damaged" option may prevent other health or hit detection related scripts such as InjuredRagdoll from working properly (in this case, try disabling the option).
I would like to extend this script and create a complex and realistic health system. I will merge this with my InjuredRagdoll script in the future, or at least make the two scripts work together to avoid issues between them.
Change log
v1: Initial relationship.
v1.1: Contains HeavyDamageHeadshots and ClearLastDamage options (customizable from INI file). The ClearLastDamage option may fix some issues with hit detection and render head hits (like drops) as headshots.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
