About this mod Machine translation
Thank you for downloading my map mod. It's 2017 and trees are finally starting to grow again in Chiliad Wilderness Mountain. Take the opportunity to hike new mountain trails. Chiliad, discover true nature and wonder. This is a beta version at the moment as I plan to add more details when I can (working on other mods atm and due to chronic back issues). The total number of trees is about 1600 including some plants/rocks. I have some vantage points so you are free to explore.
Require:
- Menyoo(Object Spooner)
- Object Spawn Unlocker
- Ymap converter (if you plan to convert your own maps)
Install:
Menyoo
- Drag the xml file into the spoon folder
- Use Menyoo to load the map
Ymap
- Move the custom_maps folder to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\ (I've provided a sample DLC pack folder so you don't need to download it from ymap)
Also add this line to dlclist.xml dlcpacks:\custom_maps\
- Drag the cmwilderness.ymap.xml file into the custom_maps.rpf directory
Again, add this line to dlclist.xml dlcpacks:\cmwilderness\
- Load the game and enjoy
notes:
There are slightly different maps using the Menyoo and Ymap versions.
Menyoo seems to take a hit on fps compared to the ymap version (5-10 fps reduction). Menyoo also showed off small cuts of tree props
Therefore, if you plan to make a machine, your best bet is to use the ymap version. With ymap you cannot view the tree from a higher elevation
Compared to Menyoo's object Spoon because it doesn't maximize distance scaling. So to solve this problem you need to maximize the distance scaling
in your advanced graphics settings. As for the fps issue, there's only a slight drop, but it really depends on what gear you have (any low-end rig will probably be affected).
Next update plan (1.1):
- Repair more trees
- Added trees to Pale Bay area
-Add animalsAnimals? (TBD)
- More grass/weeds
Thanks for downloading for my map mod. It's 2017 and the trees have finally started to grow again at Mount Chiliad Wilderness. Take the chance to hike the new trail of Mt. Chiliad and discover the true nature and its wonders. This is currently a beta version for now since I plan to add a little more details when I can (working on other mods atm and due to chronic back problems). Total amount of trees is around 1600 including a few plants/rocks. There are some vantage points I made so feel free to explore.
Requirements:
- Menyoo (Object Spooner)
- Object Spawn Unlocker
- Ymap converter (if you plan on converting your own maps)
Installation:
Menyoo
- Drag the xml file into your spooner folder
- Load map with Menyoo
Ymap

Notes:
There are slight differences in using Menyoo and Ymap versions of the map.
Menyoo seems to take a toll on fps compared to the ymap version (5-10 fps decrease). Minor clipping of tree props is also shown in Menyoo
so if you plan on making a machinima, your best bet is using the ymap version. As for ymap, you cannot view the trees from a higher elevation
compared to Menyoo's object spooner because it doesn't the maximize distance scaling. So in order to fix that you will need to max out extended distance scaling
in your advanced graphics settings. As for fps issues, there's only a slight drop but it really depends on what rig you have (any low end rigs may suffer).
Plans for next update (1.1):
- Fixing more trees
- Adding trees in the paleto bay area
- Adding dynamic animals? (TBD)
- More grass/weed
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
