Notice:
This Chinese version of SNT modifier is only applicable to GTA4 version 1.2.0.xx, and the GTA4 Chinese patch released by the Wuming Chinese group must be installed first, otherwise the modifier menu will be all garbled! Chinese description:
On March 12, 2023, the initial Chineseization of SNT was completed (the modifiers applicable to the three chapters of the main story, TLAD and TBOGT have been Chineseized), which translated most of the text except proper nouns such as names of people, place names, and in-game model names.
The Chinese translation work of this modifier is entirely undertaken by me. Due to the large amount of text, there will inevitably be omissions. If you find problems related to the Chinese translation during use or have a more accurate translation for a certain option, please leave your feedback in the comment area.
Current problems:
Due to an unknown character encoding issue, the modifier prompt message that appears in the subtitle position of GTA4 cannot be displayed in Chinese normally, so the text of the prompt message part is not processed for the time being (some prompt messages are garbled because they call the string used by the menu item that has been Chineseized, and this situation has no solution for the time being).
Installation instructions:
Just copy the files in the compressed package to the GTA4 installation directory (root directory).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
