About this mod Author’s original text
Here is a new simple truck in colors of the German Army (Bundeswehr). The MAN KAT is produced in high numbers and in use around the world. This particular mod features the 8x8 as an open flatbed.
The truck features accurate front wheel steering, has working lights (extra lights toggle the orange lights around the vehicle), working mirrors and pretty much all standard GTA features. The hatches on the rear bed can be opened (Trunk and Rear Doors) and 8 people can sit in the back (in addition to 2 in the cabin).
Additionally you can run VehFuncs V to have working windshield wipers and be able to open up the cabin and see the engine.
Installation
- Place the "manf8x8" folder into [Gamefolder]\update\X64\dlcpacks\
- With OpenIV, extract [Game folder]\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml and edit this with Notepad++. Add the following entry:
dlcpacks:\manf8x8\
- Now you are done, you will need a trainer with "spawn by name" function (Enhanced Native Trainer for example) to spawn the vehicle type in:
"manf8x8"

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
