About this mod Machine translation

•illustrate:

Inspired by playduck's 4K Bokeh Overhaul and Anime_Boom's Corona Begone, this mod simply replaces the default bokeh with another shape of your choice, with different types of crowns and flares, and even vehicle shading improvements.

•Remark:

•Open the image in a new tab and zoom in to better see the differences.

  • All screenshots use mods in some way, even though they don't look like it.

  • Frequently Asked Questions:

•Does this apply to Rockstar Editor?

Yes, it's just like in the game, or actually even better because you have more control and options.

You can also record with one preset, like "5 Blade," exit the game, change it to another preset, like "Anamorphic," and it will show up.

The preset will appear regardless of what was recorded.

•How to get a bigger bokeh effect?

This mod does not change the size of the bokeh effect. By default, in games, the effect is determined by the intensity of the light source and the distance from the light source.

This means that the brighter the light source, the more obvious it is, not the larger it is.

•Why are some bokeh circles and shapes?

This mode doesn't fully achieve all bokeh effects using the preset you choose, and the transition from a circle to one of the bokeh shapes appears to be established by the distance of the light source to the player rather than the camera.

•Does this have any performance impact?

There aren't all types of presets that I've experienced hours of gameplay with.

•Is this compatible with VisualV/NaturalVision/etc?

Yes this is compatible with every graphics mod, just make sure you install the graphics mod then this.

•Is this compatible with E.V.E? (Extended video export with motion blur)

Yes, it does not affect/distort the bokeh effect in any way.

•Will you make an .oiv for this mod?

Yes but for a while it will be at least 1.0 as this is in the very early stages and still needs a lot of work and more work.

•Does this work with the motion blur module?

yes.

•Why not use 4K textures?

Because it's cool, it's overrated, these textures don't show up in 4K regardless of their distance from the player.

•How do I take these screenshots?

I'm going to make a full detailed forum on at least how I take and edit my screenshots as best as I can.

•Install:

Note that this is a manual installation (not "drag and drop") as it is expected that the user has a graphics/visual module installed that can edit graphics.ytd.

This means that installation instructions and troubleshooting help can be found in the downloadable "Readme" file.

•Mods for taking screenshots:

•NaturalVision remastered by Razed

  • The Sims 4 Custom Women by alex189 and saldin93

Thanks to all modders, especially those who put in the time and effort to make all of this possible, and the modding community for their support.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
