describe

This is a very simple script that allows you to terminate your vehicle's engine on command. While the engine itself died, I discovered that a fire would occur and not blow up the vehicle. The main purpose of this script is for those who want to make screenshots of airplanes or even just a burning car (the reason is not that). I haven't tested this for making Rockstar Editor videos, but you can try it too. I've put some screenshots created by Cookies2568 on the gta5-mods Discord Server

Install

Place the INI and DLL in the scripts folder, which should be located in the main GTA installation directory. If there is no scripts folder, create one

Description

This is a very simple script that allows you to kill your vehicles engine on command. Alongside the engine itself dying, there will be fire that I found does not blow up the vehicle. The main purpose of this script is for those who are wanting to make screenshots of aircraft coming down or even just a car on fire (cause why not). I have not tested this for use in making Rockstar Editor Videos but you can always try it for that too. I have put some example screenshots created by Cookies2568 from the gta5-mods Discord Server

Installation

Place the INI and DLL inside of your scripts folder which should be in your main GTA install directory. If there is no script folder, create one

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
