1.4: South America update! 10 new add-on boards from South America!
====================
This mod adds 104 license plates from countries around the world to GTA V. Unlike other tablet mods, this mod does not replace any license plates, so you can still enjoy your installed standard or custom cards.
How do I apply for my car? Simply use a trainer from the list below and select Change License Plate. The new license plate will be listed automatically. Unfortunately, this mod does not work with Los Santos Customs.
The original .dds file is included, if you only want to have one plate you can replace plate01 with any plate of your choice.
More plates will be added soon.

I tried to make each plate as accurate as possible, but there are several factors that make it impossible to have the same plates as in reality.
- Size: GTA V only supports US-Standart size printing plates. Most plates actually come in different sizes, with the EU plate having its own size that is wider than the US size.
To make them fit in GTA 5, I'm going to cut their width and make them smaller. One problem that arises from this is that the blue part of the EU-Plate takes up about 1/3 of the small US plate, so I had to reduce its size.
This problem is not only an EU problem, but also affects other sectors. For example, for Mongolia, I had to put the "MNG" logo above the region code instead of next to it, otherwise there wouldn't be enough room for some custom letters.
- Fonts: Many countries have their own fonts for license plates, but GTA V only supports one font, so all cards have the same (US) font. Trust me, I'd love to support different fonts, like the German version of FE-Schrift.
- Non-Latin letters: GTA 5 only supports Latin letters, so there are some problems with non-Latin letters. Countries like Laos combine Latin and non-Latin alphabets on their slabs, and in those countries' sections you can only edit the Latin portion.
Other countries like Bangladesh only use their own letter system (Bangla alphabet for Bangladesh) and for these countries you unfortunately cannot edit these sections.
- Number of letters: Unless you manually change the text of the license plate, plates in GTA V will always have 8 letters/numbers. This is something I can't change.
The board will always produce 2 numbers - 3 letters - 3 digits (eg: 00XXX000; 12ABC345; 46EEK572; ...), but you can change the text manually using any trainer.
- Tablets/3D boards: Some countries are using 3D boar …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
