About this mod Machine translation

Player vehicles have very little utility. It is designed to provide a parachute for those vehicles with that feature (Dragsters and similar). Especially add-on vehicles, but vanilla vehicles can use it as well.

feature

  • The parachute can rotate freely
  • The power to stop the vehicle comes from the parachute itself, allowing for greater realism
  • Requires brake upgrade (optional)
  • Works with some example vehicles out of the box
  • You can easily add more vehicles

How to install

Extract the files and folders to /Grand Theft Auto V/Scripts.

The "DragParachutes" folder location should be similar to "Grand Theft Auto V/Scripts/DragParachutes/(.ini files)"

Vehicles supported by default

  • Rocket Voltic
  • Picador Loco Drag(Vanillaworks Extended)
  • Nightshade Dragster

Add new vehicles to the system

Go to /(GTA V folder)/Scripts/DragParachutes/. You will find some files named after the models they include in the system.

Just make a copy of any of them and edit it to include the vehicle you want. Save the file and start the game.

Vehicle Developer - Add your vehicle to the system

While you do not have permission to include this script in the download (please ask me first), if you would like your vehicle to benefit from this tow chute system, you can include your VehicleFile.ini and redirect players to this mod.

They must install this script and move the configuration files to /(GTA V Folder)/Scripts/DragParachutes/(.ini files). The drag parachute will pick it up and do the rest.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
