Installation tutorial
First unzip the file into a folder and then put the dlcpacks folder in the folder under Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64
Put all the remaining files into the game root directory and then openiv locates \Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data
Right-click to edit the dlclist.xml file. Remember to click on the edit mode in the upper right corner and add the code dlcpacks:/addonpeds/ at the bottom.
Then go back to the game root directory, open addonpeds, right-click and run in administrator mode to open the main program of the character mod addition tool.
Press the L button to open the game and a new character model control interface will pop up.
ps: I localized this tool in 2021. There were some BUGs before, so I re-Chinese it and then localized it to the latest version 3.0.1.
Fixed the ineffective BUG in the previous 3.0 version after adding mods. It has been solved now.
I didn’t Chineseize the built-in tool for brushing out character models in the game because after Chineseizing it, I found that character model files could not be recognized, so I only Chineseized the main program, thus avoiding the problem of model files that are not recognized by the built-in tool for brushing out character models.
When running the exe program, you need to run it in administrator mode. Remember!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
