About this mod Machine translation

The software has been updated to 1.4.1, adding a function that can randomize dlc package names to prevent secondary packaging and installation from overwriting previous packages.

This software is a character model batch packaging tool produced by julionib for its own superhero module. You can batch package all the downloaded character models into OIV format and install them into your own games, so that novices can easily create their own character OIV installation packages.

You can choose whether to generate Chaoying's suit file. If you don't choose, it can be used as a pure character model installation package.

The interface is in English, but it is very simple to use. For detailed usage, you can watch this video:

The advantage of this one-click oiv package is that installation is brainless. The disadvantage is that every time you install this package, your GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks directory will have an additional oiv package folder, because dlcpacks The names of the files in the folder cannot have the same name, otherwise the previous data will be overwritten, and it will be very bloated if there are too many. And sometimes you only want to install one or two character models. It is not cost-effective to use this tool to create a package of one or two character models to generate a folder, so it can be used with AddonPeds().

Introduce a method that can take into account both:

The character data added using the AddonPeds software is in the "ap_m.xml" file in this directory C:\Users\your system name\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\UserMods. We can use Julionib's tool to generate the oiv package and then use the decompression software to open the oiv package. Inside, you can see a file named peds.meta.xml File, directly double-click to open it, copy the character data inside to ap_m.xml, and then throw the character model file into GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\addonpeds\dlc.rpf\peds.rpf. See the picture below for which character data to copy. The data between two "items" is the character data of one character model. If there are multiple items, start from the first one. "item" is copied to the last "item". It is strongly recommended that novices download a special XML editing software. We recommend a lightweight one: notepadnext. For more professional ones, use Microsoft's. Do not use Notepad to open and edit xml files. Not only does it look inconvenient, but it also takes a lot of effort to operate. And you will mess up the format without noticing it. Special software will save you a lot of trouble and make it much easier. The second picture below is an xml file opened with Microsoft Visual Studio.

Another key problem is that after the ap_m.xml file is opened, its default character layout data is messy. Use Microsoft Visual Studio to press the shortcut key "ctrl+k" to layout with one click, as shown in the menu below.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
