Adaptive headlights
Something I made a while ago but never posted - but I found some time to perfect it.
feature:
Adaptive headlights: headlights stay level with the road
With startup animation when opening for the first time
Turning Assist: The headlights emit a beam in the direction of steering
Correcting misaimed headlights
Features separate low-beam and high-beam settings
Requirements and Installation Grand Theft Auto V (b2372 and later)
Script Hook V To install, add the AdaptiveHeadlights.asi file and
Drag and drop AdaptiveHeadlights folder into GTA V
folder.
C:/Users/(User)/AppData/Local/ikt/AdaptiveHeadlights can also be used if the GTA V folder is not writable.
Open the admin menu with the ah cheat (use the tilde to open the cheat
Console).
For further instructions, see the accompanying README.pdf or README.md.
Notice
The shadow quality should be very high so that the two headlights cast their own lights, otherwise only one light will be cast and some effects will not look right.
The headlight bones move around, which can cause the headlight housing to pinch or move on many vehicles.
@Vehicle author: It would be great if newly created vehicles only had the headlight projector units tagged as headlight bones, or if existing vehicle settings allowed it, use this script to update them to make them look less wonky.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
