About this mod Machine translation
RotKeep
Keep your loot when the whole team wipes in Grain Rot.
What it does
In Grain Rot, a run normally only pays out when you successfully extract. If the whole team wipes (or you die solo), everything you carried that run is lost — the game's own settlement screen shows your earnings, but they never reach the outpost stash.
RotKeep changes that: on every run end — success or failure, single-player or co-op — your crew's earnings are banked into the outpost stash automatically. No hotkeys, no config files to edit. It just happens.
- Works on solo death and team wipe
- Works on successful extraction too
- Co-op: the whole crew's earnings are banked (not just the host's)
- Subtracts the elevator fare you already paid, so spent gold isn't refunded
- Zero hotkeys — everything is automatic
How it works
The mod reads each player's run statistics (DungeonPlayerStats) — the same numbers the game shows on the end-of-run "Your Journey" screen — and deposits the total into the outpost stash when the run ends. Because it uses the settlement screen's own numbers as the source of truth, what gets banked always matches what the settlement screen shows.
The deposit happens once, at the moment the run actually ends (the EndDungeonRunSequence event), so a near-death that gets rescued in co-op (Spark rescue) does not trigger a deposit — only a real run end does.
Requirements
- UE4SS for Grain Rot — installed automatically as a dependency via your mod manager (-GrainRot_UE4SS).
Installation
Install Mod Manager or r2modmanPlus. The required UE4SS setup installs automatically. No further configuration is needed — launch the game and play. users: install the GRAIN ROT - Custom UE4SS Framework first, then drop this mod's Scripts/main.lua into the UE4SS Mods folder as usual.
Multiplayer
- Only the host needs the mod. The host's RotKeep banks the whole crew's earnings at run end, and the stash value is written to the host's save, so everyone sees it.
- Clients do not need the mod to play with you.
- Do not install it on a client machine — a client-side copy would only make a local change that never syncs back to the host and could show a fake stash number. Host-only is the correct setup.
FAQ
Does this refund the elevator fare?
No. The gold you already spent paying the lift is subtracted from the deposit, so spent gold stays spent.
Does it affect normal successful extraction?
No — successful extraction still pays out normally. RotKeep only makes sure the wipe/failure case also banks your earnings (and tops up any part the game itself didn't credit).
Is this a cheat?
It removes the "lose everything on a wipe" punishment. You keep what the settlement screen says you earned — nothing is invented or duplicated. Use it if you want a more forgiving loop.

RotKeep (Chinese instructions)
When a whole team is wiped out, the loot that should have been thrown away will be saved for you and stored in the stronghold warehouse.
Function
In Grain Rot, benefits are usually settled only on successful evacuation. If the entire team is wiped out (or a single player dies), all the things you brought out in this round will be gone - although the game's own settlement screen shows how much you earned, the money cannot reach the stronghold warehouse at all.
RotKeep rewrites this: at the end of each run—whether successful or failed, single-player or online—your earnings will be automatically deposited into the stronghold warehouse. No need to press any keys, no need to change the configuration file, it is completed automatically.
-Supports single death and team destruction
- Also supports successful evacuation
- Online: The income of the entire team will be put into the warehouse (not just the owner)
- The evacuation fee you have paid will be deducted, and the gold coins spent will not be returned.
- Zero buttons, fully automatic

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
