what it does:
this is basically a gravity gun mod for gang beasts. press TAB to unlock your mouse and you can click and drag anything around. characters, boxes, breakable props, whatever.
features:
physics scaling: it actually calculates the weight of the object, so pulling a dumpster feels different than pulling a character's arm.
x-ray clicking: shoots a raycast through invisible walls and camera zones so it grabs exactly what u click on.
visual tether: draws a blue laser line from your screen to the exact spot on the object you grabbed.
custom UI: fully draggable custom mod menu.
input blocking: disables your player's brain while the menu is open so u dont accidentally punch or grab stuff in the background.
controls:
TAB - toggle the mod menu and free your mouse
Left Click (Hold) - grab an object
Scroll Wheel - push the object further away or pull it closer to you
Release Left Click - drop the object
how to install:
install melonloader (v0.6.x or newer) for gang beasts.
put MouseDragMod.dll inside your gang beasts Mods folder.
load into a local or private game and press tab.
notes:
use this in local play or private host lobbies. if you try to use it in public multiplayer you'll probably just get disconnected because of the game's physics sync.
if an object you are holding falls off the map and breaks, the mod will just safely let go of it so it doesnt crash your game.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
