7.62x51mm Designated Marksman Rifle-PickinTheBanjo
This is a mesh edit of the existing 5.56x45mm Marksman Carbine, with a longer action/magazine and a longer barrel/front stock. Sharpshooter Rifle
Rifled in .308, the damage against a sharpshooter's carbine was increased due to the larger cartridge and longer barrel.
The rifle can be modified with a sniper rifle suppressor, 10mm laser sight, and Varmint rifle night vision goggles (the night vision goggles use Marksman Carbine scopes). The Marksman rifle is an improvement on the existing Marksman Carbine.
Install the mod by copying the data folder contained in the .rar into Fallout's new vegas folder, accepting the merge with the existing data folder,
Then use FOMM to enable.
The Marksman Rifle can be purchased from most vendors except the Gunslinger.
This does not replace the existing Marksman Carbine, it just adds a new rifle on top of it.
This mod utilizes your existing Marksman Carbine textures, which may cause issues with any re-texture mods of the Marksman Carbine.
-If you are using a replica of Millenia's Marksman Carbine, please download the optional patch that supports his new maps and textures.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
