About this mod Machine translation
Big thanks to Madduma for translating my autistic scrawling into something that people can understand!
illustrate
- Extract mod files anywhere (you can delete them in the end)
- Install/set up voice attack:
2.1. Download and install Voice Attack
(Note) There is a 21-day free trial period. The trial version only allows you to import the first 20 commands. But this should be enough for you to test out and see if you like the mod.
2.2. Run the voice attack as administrator (right-click on the program, click "Run as administrator")
(Recommended) Review and complete the tasks in the prompts, including those related to training the speech engine. When selecting an input, speak softly as this will determine Windows' maximum microphone volume.
2.3. Click the button to the right of "Profile" to edit
2.4. Click "Import Command"
2.5. Select "MilkTheCow76VoiceAttack-Profile-Profile.vap"
2.6. Click "Import"
2.7. Select Yes to override conflicting commands
2.8. Click Finish
2.9. Disable the keyboard, mouse, and game controller icons on the right (note that game controllers are called "joysticks" in the command window).
2.10. Hover over the headphone icon to confirm it says "Listening"
2.11 Select "Active Window" from the target window
- Back up and overwrite ControlMap_Custom.txt with the ControlMap_Custom.txt in the mod archive (usually in Users\[your username]\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76).
- Set up Fallout 76:
4.1. Running Fallout 76
4.2. Make sure your display settings are:
4.2.1. At 16x9 and 1080P or their multipliers
4.2.2. full screen
4.3. Restart Fallout 76 if necessary
- Play Fallout 76 and test the commands. Be careful not to speak slowly or quickly, and speak as clearly as possible.
- Some commands may click in the wrong area of your screen (for example, the emoticons are in the default location, so if you buy emoticons from the Atom Shop, the command will click in the wrong area). To correct this:
6.1. Click the Windows key to minimize the game window
6.2. Pull up VoiceAttack
6.3. Select the icon to the right of the profile
6.4. Double click on the command (e.g. "anger")
6.5. Double-click the coordinate entry (e.g. "Move mouse cursor to screen coordinates (863,716)")
6.6. Click "Set location"
6.7. Alt-Tab back to the game and place the cursor where the emoji was.
6.8. Click F8.
6.9. Alt-Tab to VoiceAttack's Capture Mouse Position window and click OK to save the new coordinates.
HUGE THANKS TO Madduma for translating my autistic scrawl into something properly functioning people can understand!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
