About this mod Machine translation

A simple retexture of the Power Armor HUD from default colors to black and white. I mainly made this for myself since I'm color blind, but thought others might enjoy it too.

This mod also works perfectly with erfet's Power Armor Clean HUD mod, the installation of both is also the same.

If anyone wants a color other than just white please leave a comment and I'll see what I can do!

Install

Method 1: Baka Archive Tool

To install, unzip the archive into the Fallout76 Data folder, if done correctly it should look like this

C:\ Program Files(x86)\ Bethesda.net Launcher \ games \ Fallout76 \ Data \ textures

Then, get the Baka Archive Tool via shad0wshayd3. Run this command to create the required archives and place them into the \Data folder. Instructions for the tool are on his mod page for those who haven't used it before.

Method 2: Archive2 manual installation

1: Unzip the downloaded mod somewhere

2: Run Archive2 and open Textures05.ba2 (located in "games\Fallout76\Data\SeventySix-Textures05.ba2")

3: At the top, go to Archive-Add Folder and select the mod's unzipped texture folder

4: Click "Save and Rebuild"

If anyone finds an easier way to install Fallout 76 mods than this, I'll change these directions to reflect it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
