compatibility

This mod modifies Pipboy_InvPage.swf and is incompatible with other mods that do the same.

Only very minor modifications were made to Pipboy_InvPage.swf to load the Better Inventory module - changes are made dynamically at runtime and the logic of the original interface file is not affected. This makes Better Inventory's code self-contained and separate from any specific version of the Pip-Boy inventory page. Should Bethesda update this specific file in the future, updating the mod is minimal effort unless there are any major architectural changes.

Additional information

This is an interface modification. It won't use any hidden information that hasn't been viewed in Pip-Boy yet. Nothing on the server will be affected or changed in any way by this mod. This mod does not do any server-side interaction on your behalf. You must equip your own weapons and consume food.

Features

Filter the Aid tab for Food, Drink and Chems (and Food* / Drink* - asterisks refer to disease-free cooked food and drink items with a limited condition)

Filter the Weapons tab for Ranged, Melee and Thrown weapons

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
