Xenoblade Chronicles Replacement Set
✨ Module function
- **Flame** replaces the Astrologer set
- **Excalibur** replaces the King's Army weapon
- File correspondence: wp_a_0207.partsbnd.dcx = Excalibur
🛠️ Prerequisites
It needs to be paired with my **Remove Player Skin Mod V3.1** to prevent the character preset from having model wear problems.
📥 Installation method
Method 1: UXM installation
- Unpack and patch the game using UXM (this step is required)
- Find the /parts folder in the game directory
- Drag the module file into the parts folder and overwrite it (it is recommended to back up the original file first)
- Click Patch in UXM
- Run the game after disabling EAC
Method 2: ModEngine2 installation (recommended)
- Using ModEngine2
- Drag all .dcx files into the mod\parts folder
- Run the game
🔧 Custom replacement
Want to swap in another set or weapon?
**File naming rules:**
- hd = Helmet | bd = Armor | lg = Legs | am = Gauntlets
- m = male | f = female | wp = weapon | _l = NPC item
- XXXX = model ID
**Example:**
- bd_m_1540.partsbnd.dcx → Replaces male chain mail
- wp_a_0550.partsbnd.dcx → Replace the knife
💡 Usage Tips
- Most character models only use armor parts, and the helmet, leg armor, and gauntlets are invisible
- If the package contains the female version file (bd_f_XXXX), but the module does not provide it, you can copy the male version file and rename it

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
