Windows 7
I modified Elden's Ring and VKD3D-Proton 2.3.1 so that they can run on Win7/8/8.1, but since EAC cannot be cracked, it can only be played offline. Now Win7/8/8.1 users can run Elden's Ring through Vulkan.

💭 Message from Developers
I hope From Software can provide a DX11 mode, Elden's Ring still uses the old version of the engine (native DX11). God of War uses DX11, the picture quality is excellent and well-optimized, and there are no unnecessary freezes/frame drops. DX12 is a low-level API, and if they can't optimize DX12 code, everyone shouldn't be forced to run DX12 mode.
Let's all call on From Software to provide a DX11 mode for Elden's Circle!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
