About this mod Machine translation

A prank module that repeatedly detonates players at regular intervals

Timed Explosion Fader 💥

Module function

This spoof mod will cause the Fader to explode at regular intervals by repeatedly triggering the cracked crystal teardrop effect! 💣 The bomb will explode after a configurable interval, such as every minute or every 10 seconds. The timer is paused when the character is not loaded.

Explosion mechanism

This mod changes the way the single teardrop burst crystal teardrop effect itself works. Since the mod uses this effect directly, explosions can be invulnerable frame avoidance or animation canceled in the same way.

Installation Guide 🛠️

To use this mod, you first need to install the Elden Mod Loader, place its dinput8.dll file into the game directory and bypass the EAC.

If the "ELDEN RING\Game\mods" directory does not exist, please create it first, and then copy the two files TimeEffect.dll and TimeEffect_config.ini directly to the mods directory. Both files must be placed here for the mod to work properly.

Finally, launch the game by launching eldenring.exe directly or using an Elden Mod Loader-compatible launcher (no EAC required). If done correctly, the TimeEffect_log.txt file will be created in the mods directory when the game starts. If the file is not created, make sure you are not using a launcher or exe patch that prevents Elden Mod Loader from working properly.

See TimeEffect_config.ini for details. Settings can be changed while the game is still running.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
