About this mod Machine translation

Removed invincibility frames when opening doors, opening treasure chests, entering fog doors and activating levers...just like the classic fan favorite Dark Souls 2!

No More i-Frames (DS2-Style Interactions)

⚔️ **"Every choice should cost you."**

Tired of escaping danger by frantically pressing the "Open Door" button and watching your fader glide invincibly through animations? Do you miss the brutal tension of Dark Souls 2, a world where every action came with **real risk**? Then this mod is for you!

🎯 Module function

**Removed invincibility frames from the following world interactions:**

  • **Open the door**
  • **Open Treasure Chest**
  • **Enter the fog door**
  • **Activate levers** (e.g. elevators, gates, etc.)

It is no longer possible to evade PvP retaliation by panic-clicking fog doors. It is no longer possible to loot chests in combat as if shopping at a supermarket. If something wants to kill you when you pull the lever - **it can**.

Just like in Dark Souls 2, interacting with the world makes you vulnerable. This mod reintroduces layers of danger and decision-making.

⚔️ Why use this mod?

  • Adds tension and realism to PvP and PvE encounters
  • Encourages smarter play and situational awareness
  • Make "Elden's Circle" closer to the brutal and high-risk design concept of DS2
  • Make fog door escapes and treasure chest raids feel **earned** - not free

---

🔧 Compatibility

  • Compatible with most regulation.bin based mods
  • Incompatible with mods that modify player interaction behavior (manual merge files provided)
  • Contains ERR compatibility patch
  • Work in offline mode. For online use, you know - **at your own risk**

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
