Disable rain animation, tree animation, reduce texture/shadow quality and draw range by modifying the regulation.bin file

FPS Boost for Low-End PC

🎮 **Frame rate improvement solution specially designed for low-end computers**

✨ Module Features

Hey everyone! I have prepared some ready-to-use files for those friends who don't want to spend time studying the DSMapStudio program and just want to download the ready-made FPS optimization solution for "Elden's Ring". I will also attach a CSV file for those who want to do manual fine-tuning using DSMapStudio or other programs.

These modified graphics settings files should give you a **5-15fps** boost, and in some cases even more!

🛠️ Installation method

Method 1: Replacement method (the simplest)

  • Go to the folder where eldenring.exe is located
  • Find the "regulation.bin" file and create a backup copy
  • Select and download the FPS optimization file that suits you (located in the "Main Files" section)
  • Replace the original 'regulation.bin' with the downloaded file

Method 2: Manual replacement method (can achieve more fine adjustments)

  • It is also recommended to back up the original "regulation.bin" file first
  • Download and configure DSMap Studio (you can use the "MapStudio Setup" section in the related guide)
  • Download the required CSV settings file (located in the "Optional Files" section)
  • After setting up a new project in DSMap Studio, open the "Param Editor" in the upper left corner
  • Paste the previously downloaded CSV file name (without extension) into the search field
  • Select parameters and import CSV file via menu
  • Save the results and move the generated "regulation.bin" to the folder where eldenring.exe is located

📝 Version information

This mod is created specifically for **version 1.08** and is made using Dark Souls Map Studio. Not tested on other versions, but you can try it.

💡 **Tip**: If nothing changes or an error occurs, you may have done something wrong. You can revert to a previously saved standard version and try again, or simply use a ready-made settings file to go back to the first replacement method.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
