ER QuickSave HK
✨ Features
Have you ever encountered a BOSS with disparity in strength in the Elden Circle, and then been mercilessly crushed and then teleported back to the previous blessing point? Me too! That's why I created **ER QuickSave HK** - a lightweight, no-frills hotkey application designed to save you and me from the frustration of having to start all over again after being slaughtered by various behemoths in the game.
✅ **After a tortuous release process, ER QuickSave HK is now officially approved and available for download**

⚔️ Why choose ER QuickSave HK?
Unlike other archive managers with overlays, profiles or property editing capabilities, this tool remains minimalist:
- **Designed for single player offline players**
- **Simple design**
→ No rune cheats, attribute modifications or game changes
- **ZERO DEPENDENCY**
→ No Mod Engine, seamless connectivity or other third-party requirements required
- **Independent and Portable**
→ Just double-click the .exe file - no installation, no user interface
- **Hotkeys activate save and restore**
→ **F5** Back up current archive
→ **F9** Restore the last "pre-death" save and restart Elden's Ring via Steam
- **Smart File Handling**
→ Wait until the archive file is stable before backing up
→ No timers, polling loops or race conditions
---
📁 Backup folder
The backup folder is automatically created at:
`[The folder where the application is located]\EldenRingBackups`
For example, if you store the .exe file on your desktop, the backup folder path would be:
`C:\Users\[username]\Desktop\EldenRingBackups\`
Timestamped backups and rolling "before death" recovery archives will be stored here.
---
📥 Installation Guide
- Unzip to any location (such as desktop or document)
- Run `ERQuickSaveHK.exe`
- Activate the Elden Circle
- Use hotkeys:
- **F5** = Quick save
- **F9** = Recovery + Restart

💭 Author's Note
I'm not a modder, nor do I plan to become one. This is the first - and almost certainly the last - mod I'll ever release. I created **ER QuickSave HK** because I wanted an extremely simple way to manage my Elden Circle archives without relying on external tools, overlays, or archive editors.
The AutoHotkey code was written by **Microsoft Copilot**, but every feature, behavior, and logic path was designed and tested by me through trial and error and lots of BOSS-induced rage quits. Copilot simply converts these selections into functional scripts.
This application is provided **as is**. It's simple enough that I don't expect to need technical support, and I won't be updating it unless there's a complete crash. If you want to tweak or extend it, feel free - as long as you give credit to the original version.
I found it useful and I hope you do too.
Thank you for your attention!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
