Project Souls PvP

🎮 **Welcome to Project Souls PvP! **

✨ Module introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome to Project Souls PvP. This mod was originally made for my own enjoyment and that of friends.

The inspiration came from playing the Champion's Ashes module of "Dark Souls 3" and a YouTuber's discussion about the nature of PvP in Souls-based games. This mod is not a criticism of Souls PvP, but a reminder that these games belong to the RPG genre, not fighting games. I think the PvP fun of Souls games comes from players' creativity in build choices, and this mod is dedicated to expanding the possibilities of builds in various types and situations.

🔗 Integrated modules

This mod is a blend of my creative decisions as well as influences from other mods:

  • Unpopular Things Rebalanced
  • PvP Feedback Balance Mod
  • Elden Ring - Defuckenated
  • GRR - Great Runes Revisited

🆕 New content

🏰 Round Table Hall

I integrated the Round Table Hall map into the mod, fixed lighting issues and removed invisible collisions that were missing previously.

  • Den Maps duel items
  • New independent equipment can be purchased from the Twin Crones
  • Added emoticons

⚔️ Combat Mechanism

This mod reintroduces some of my favorite combat mechanics from From Software's past games and expands the possibilities of existing mechanics:

🛡️Dark Souls 2’s retreat invincibility frame

🥋 Sekiro’s perfect block

🗡️ Block and Counterattack

Blocking counter attacks now have a small amount of invincibility frames

🎯 Arrow Tracking

Arrows/Crossbows now slightly track the target

🔧 Other adjustments

  • Removed slide/hound steps
  • Left-handed weapons cannot input light attacks (this decision is not final)
  • Added available war ashes for weapon categories such as wands and amulets
  • Adjusted popular magic and prayers, enhanced unpopular magic and prayers
  • Weakened and enhanced some weapon categories
  • Weakened popular PvP weapons and enhanced unpopular PvP weapons
  • Adjusted the damage and attribute corrections of half of the weapons

❓ FAQ

**Q - Can I play PVE with this mod? **

A - Of course! I encourage you not to use Den duel items, but I can't stop you. Enjoy!

**Q - Why do new equipment disappear when the phantom is far away? **

A - There is no LOD model for the new equipment. The current workload is too heavy, sorry.

**Q - How often will you update this mod? **

A - When you have free time or want to update. I'm going to be busy soon and this mod is just a fun project for me.

**Q - Does this module support seamless connection 2.0? **

A - Likely supported.

🎯 Future plans

  • Explore the possibility of adapting Dark Souls 3 - Open Server to Elden's Circle and merging it with seamless online play
  • Consider preventing "fast switching" (possibly)
  • Plans to add switchable pledge items to the module to provide small buffs

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
