🎮 **Special Thanks**: My sincere thanks to PrincessofCelery for making this idea a reality and allowing me to upload this mod on my behalf!
✨ Module function
This mod was originally made just for the personal needs of the original mod author. Radagon's fight was a nightmare for me - the game placed him against a dark background but used bright, flashing yellow special effects, which was extremely irritating to my eyes. Having undergone multiple eye surgeries due to childhood injuries, Radagon fights have always been a "kill him as fast as possible before he gets to the third phase" torture for me.
Now that this mod changes the color of his special effects to a less harsh hue, I can finally enjoy this battle pain-free! I hope this mod can also help other players who are in a similar situation to me.
📥 Installation Guide
This mod requires WitchyBND to install (don't worry, it's very easy!). The reason for distributing it this way is because while modding for Elden's Circle has come a long way, it hasn't yet reached the level of true drag-and-drop installation like The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. This installation method ensures that you always have a working version of the mod (unless Fromsoftware significantly updates the game and changes the file structure), and can be easily merged if you have other mods installed that edit special effects.
**Prerequisite**: You must use UXM to unpack the game, or use the Mod Engine. There are various setup guides online. I assume you are already prepared for the Elden Circle mod before installing this mod.
🔧 Installation steps
- **Download the mod** and the latest version of WitchyBND:
- **Backup Files**: Back up the following files from your Elden Ring game:
- `sfxbnd_commoneffects.ffxbnd.dcx`
- `sfxbnd_m11.ffxbnd.dcx`
These files are located in the `ELDEN RING/Game/sfx/` directory
- **Extract file**: Unzip WitchyBND to any location. Drag and drop `sfxbnd_commoneffects.ffxbnd.dcx` and `sfxbnd_m11.ffxbnd.dcx` respectively to WitchyBND.exe
- **Locate the effect folder**: After decompression is completed, you will get two folders. Find the folder named "effect" in the newly unzipped folder. There should be many files ending with `fxr` in it.
- **Copy module files**: Open the downloaded module folder, copy all `fxr` files to the corresponding folder you created with WitchyBND, and select OK when overwriting
- **Repack**: Drag the folders you originally extracted back onto WitchyBND (one at a time) and it will create new `.dcx` files for you
- **Installation Complete**: Copy the new `.dcx` file back to the `ELDEN RING/Game/sfx/` directory
🌟 **Enjoy the no-glaring experience when fighting Radagon! **

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
