neutral color grading

by nullfractal·vv1.0.0·Updated 2025-11-04

Some questionable decisions were made regarding its existing art style: Nimgolf and Stormhill are a painful blue, as is the general rainy area, while Stonewell City and the Volcano Mansion are green. Neutral Color Grading removes this grading and replaces it with a completely constant color style for the entire game, no more ugly transitions!

About this mod Machine translation

Elden's Circle makes some questionable decisions about its existing art style: Nimgolf and Stormhill are a painful blue, as are the general rainy areas, while Stonewell City and the Volcano Mansion are green. Neutral Color Grading removes this grading and replaces it with a completely constant color style for the entire game, no more ugly transitions!

Neutral color grading

🎨 **Also known as the "Neutral Elden Ring"**

Function Overview

Neutral color grading removes the sometimes appropriate but often excessive and unpleasant color grading effects found in Elden's Circle. This color grading is most evident at Stonewell Castle, Volcano Mansion, and more generally in the Nimgolf area. Here, there are quite excessive color grading effects at different times of the day (they change over time).

Technical implementation

Neutral color grading is achieved by disabling color grading in every gparam and replacing all LUT textures with neutral versions.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
