✨ Module introduction
This mod brings Malikus back into the game world in the form of a "Wandering Soul", allowing players to see him again during their journey to the Junction!
🌙 Features
- **Ghost Form Returns**: Malikis appears in ghost form outside the Temple of the Beast, visible at night
- **Non-interactive character**: He is just a spectator and cannot be interacted with.
- **Loyal to the original work**: Retains the orthodox settings of the game without destroying the continuity of the plot
📍 Appearance location
The ghost of Malikith appears outside the Temple of the Beast, where Guranga sometimes howls. He looks more like a panther than a canine, but who knows...
🔧 Installation instructions
The module contains three separate files and can be combined with basically any other module:
- **Map File**: Place the modified Gray Dragon Wasteland-Beast Temple map into the `mod/map/mapstudio` folder
- **Event File**: Put the modified `m60_51_43_00.emevd.dcx` into the `mod/event` folder
- **Parameter adjustment**: Use Smithbox to import and merge the provided .csv files
💡 Technical details
Making this mod was more complicated than expected, requiring dealing with event files and the DarkScript system. After a lot of hard work, Malikis was finally able to be reborn as a ghost in the Kelid region after being defeated.
🎮 Usage suggestions
It is recommended to use Mod Engine 2 to load this mod. If you are still using an older version of the game, congratulations! The mod should work fine. If it is a newer version, you may need to wait for the author to update or manually adjust relevant parameters.

*Hopefully this small change brings some comfort to Malikis, who has suffered enough. *
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
