Monger is dressed as a grumpy old man and needs you to stay off his lawn

monger but didn’t expect visitors

🎭 **An interesting model modification module that turns Blood King Monger into a grumpy old man! **

✨ Module introduction

When I was using DSAS to debug Monger's attack animation, I was curious whether he had a tail like Mongert. After removing some parts, he ended up looking like this that made me laugh like a fool at two in the morning - that's what inspired this mod!

This mod removes Monger's robes and extra accessories, making him look like a grumpy old man (affecting both cutscenes and the in-game Monger).

🛠️ Installation method

  • Use UXM to unpack the game files, or use Modengine 2 to load the module.
  • Extract the contents of the zip file to the corresponding folder (for Modengine 2, just drag the chr folder into /mod/ or your module installation directory)
  • To remove a mod, simply delete the relevant files from the mods folder

📁 Modify files

  • c4800.chrbnd.dcx (affects Blood King Monger and Omen Monger)
  • c8905.chrbnd.dcx (Monger the Blood King in cutscene)

🙏 Acknowledgments

Thanks to the authors of the following tools:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
