Elden Ring Mods Manager - Merger
✨ **Open source module merging tool** ✨
Main functions
Currently only merging regulation.bin files is supported (other files will be overwritten according to priority order), more merging functions will be added in the future.
⚠️ **NOTE**: This tool is an Alpha version and still under testing. Please provide feedback if you have any questions.
How to use
- Place ERModsManager.exe anywhere, such as desktop
- If the app asks for the game path on startup, simply navigate to the location of eldenring.exe
- Now comes the fun part, drag and drop your mod (can be a .zip or a folder) directly into the app
- Define mod priority by dragging up and down in the list (top has highest priority)
- Press the merge button and wait for the log to show that the merge is complete
- Press play and enjoy the game!
Console version
Console app version with merging and automation features.
**Highly Recommended**: Using ModEngine2, place **ERModsMerger.exe** in the same folder and edit **config_eldenring.toml** as follows:
```toml
mods = [
{ enabled = true, name = "default", path = "MergedMods" }
]
```
Launch **ERModsMerger.exe** and let it guide you through the process. It will automatically unzip and create all the required folders and provide examples and explanations to make it easy to use.
Troubleshooting and Solutions
**-ERModsMerger.exe failed to start:** Make sure the system has .Net 8 Desktop Runtime installed
**- Unable to load configuration or regulation bin not found: ** This usually happens when **ERModsMergerConfig\\config.json** is modified to an invalid value/format
**- The original game/module regulation.bin cannot be loaded: ** The application may be incompatible with this regulation.bin, please ensure that the game/module is the latest version (the supported regulation version is 1.12.4)
**- The game cannot be launched, has bugs or missing modules: ** Merging may cause some problems by overwriting files
📝 **Currently it is best to use this tool to merge mods that only have conflicting regulation.bin files and not conflicting .dcx separate files. **
Automation functions
Run this application with the **/merge** parameter to automatically merge the modules in **ModsToMerge** into the **MergedMods** folder without user interaction. The console will be closed after the merge.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
