Michaela’s Dilemma - Mercy Era Restoration

This mod adds more choices to the ending of the "Elden Circle" DLC, restores Mikaela's deleted "Age of Mercy" ending, and expands RPG elements so that you can better play the role of your choice at the end of the game.

🎭 Ending of the Era of Mercy

In the DLC story, you need to choose between Mikaela's followers and opponents. Miyazaki Hidetaka mentioned in an interview that the DLC will have multiple endings. Among them, Mikaela's "Era of Mercy" ending existed in the game files but was deleted.

**Main changes:**

• During the transition in the second phase, Latan stops attacking and gives the Faded a chance to choose.
• You can choose to succumb to Mikaela and Latan and start the ending of the Age of Mercy
• If Latan is rejected or attacked, the battle will continue as normal
• If Ansbach is summoned during battle, there will be no choice

🛡️ Needle Knight Lida quest line

After completing all of Lida's missions (including killing Ansbach):

• Battles with followers disappear
• The Faded Ones will bow directly to Latane and Mikayla
• Lida's farewell lines will be added to the final scene

*"I'm afraid this is the last time we meet, comrade. Next time we meet, I hope we can meet again under the watchful eye of kind Michaela."*

In this case, Latane only has the first phase of the battle, which is to allow his soul to return and rebirth a new god.

This mod allows you to:

• Act as Michaela's follower until the end
• Not just lords of the old order, but characters with their own choices
• Experience richer role-playing elements

🔮 Future Plans

This is the first version of the mod, future versions may include:

• Let the ending have minimal impact on the Holy Tree
• Shows the scene where Michaela returns to her sister in the Age of Mercy

📖 Developer confirmed

According to the developer’s new EP setting set (Book of Knowledge Volume 3):

*"Turn to you, Mikaela and Lataun realize that you will not yield to their new order. A lord they cannot convince to join the cause. With no choice, Lataan once again engages you in an extremely difficult final battle."*

This confirms that Mikaela and Latane did give the Faded a choice, but the game defaulted to making the decision to decline for you.

⚙️ Installation instructions

Run **launchmod_eldenring.bat** inside the folder (requires Steam version), or manually install the mod folder contents as needed.
