melina's fingers
🎮 **Macro tools to enhance the game experience of "Elden's Ring"**
Melina's Finger is designed to bring you joy and free you from the UI restrictions we've had to endure since Demon's Souls (2009).
✨ Main functions
Melina's Finger lets you bind game actions to hotkeys, making your gaming experience smoother and more enjoyable - actions that would have required pressing more than 10 buttons now require just one press:
- **Weapon Hard Switch**: Change the current weapon in about one second, and you can dual-wield or perform combat skills immediately
- **Armor Hard Switch**
- **Amulet Hard Switch**
- **Full set of equipment can be replaced at the same time**: Hard switching of the entire **outfit** within 5-7 seconds
- **Select next/previous weapon**
- **Spell Selection**: Takes the mage gaming experience to a whole new level, handling spells easier and faster
- **Quick Item Selection**: No need to count how many times you need to press the "Switch Item" button in the heat of battle
- **Crouching Attack**
- **Stance Attack**
- **Reverse Step Back**
- **Quick Tai Sword Stance Attack**: Perform a crouch after each attack, greatly shortening the recovery animation
- **Emojis**: Now only 1 button is needed to perform emotes
- **Continuous Invasion Attempts**: Press 1 button and Melina's fingers will use Blood Finger, Rebel Finger, etc. multiple times
- **Use duelist or fader hook**
- **Dual Wielding**: If you still miss the old days when you could do it with one button
- **Quick exit to main menu**: if you fall off a cliff but still want to escape death
And any crazy macros you can make with the **Rich DIY Builder**. You can even create macros to AFK monsters.
🚀 Get started
- Place the .exe file into a separate folder
- Launch Melina's Finger and it will try to get your archive file from a standard path
- Go to Settings and make sure all Elden Circle control settings are filled out
- Adjust font size and window ratio in "Settings" for a comfortable experience
- Set "Standard Pause Time" based on your FPS in Elden Ring
- There are already some getting started hotkeys on the left, you can use these or add your own
- If using the "Equipment" hotkey, make sure your list is sorted by "Acquisition Order" in ascending order
- Please note that if EasyAntiCheat is enabled, the functionality of Melina's fingers will be limited
🔧 How it works
Melina's fingers:
- Read control settings, equipment, spells and items from your save file
- Use this information to make it easier for you to set hotkeys via the GUI
- Convert your settings into a virtual keyboard press sequence and quickly execute it when hotkeys are pressed during gameplay
🎛️ Hotkey type
- **Equipment**: hotkeys for weapons, armor and talismans
- **Magic**: Hotkey for the current spell list
- **Items**: Hotkeys for items in the quick item list
- **Built-in**: Some useful hardcoded hotkeys
- **DIY**: Rich hotkey designer, you can make almost any hotkey you want
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
- **Put unwanted items into the treasure chest**: If the inventory is large, the virtual key sequence becomes long and unstable
- **Weapon and Armor Collection Issue**: May need to use "Manual Mode" in the "Equipment" hotkey
- **Not all hotkey bindings work**: some bindings invoke operating system commands
- **Don't use character names that are too short**: Problems may occur if character names are "F", "a", ".", etc.
- **The only way to interrupt the sequence is to Alt+Tab to another application**

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
