Malenia Animation Repository
✨ **IMPORTANT NOTE**: This is not a ready-to-use mod, but an animation resource library specially prepared for modders!
📚 Resource Introduction
This is a library of retargeted Malenia animations onto player characters for modders to use in their own mods. Contains a series of hkx animation files. Putting them directly into the module folder will not have any effect.
🎯 User Guide
For non-modders who want to learn how to use these resources, I recommend:
- Join ServerName Discord for help
- Visit Rainer Gei’s YouTube channel, where there are multiple videos on the basics of DSAnimStudio tutorials
- Learn to use DSAnimStudio, a necessary tool for editing events in animations (attacks, sounds, particle effects, etc.)
📁 Included animation files
Complete animation file list:
- a000_000020.hkx
- a000_002000.hkx
- a000_002001.hkx
- a000_002002.hkx
- a000_002003.hkx
- a000_002100.hkx
- a000_003000.hkx
-...(more than 50 animation files in total)
💡 IMPORTANT NOTE
The name of each file corresponds to the corresponding animation in Malenia's original animation file. You can view the specific meaning of each animation in DSAnimStudio.
**⚠️ NOTE**: The right arm may appear squashed and deformed in all animations when viewed in DSAnimStudio, but looks completely normal in game and is not an issue to worry about.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
