Male character long hair - Kane hairstyle

In short: I wanted a long-haired hairstyle for a classic, old-school male character. So I spent an inordinate amount of time learning about hair modding and database editing for Elden's Circle, and this is the result. Enjoy! ;) Compatible and tested with game version 1.10.

✨ Module Introduction

I've always wanted to create a long-haired hairstyle for a classic, old-school male character. After spending a lot of time learning the hair model production and database editing of "Elden's Ring", I finally completed this work! 🎉

🎨 Creative inspiration

This hairstyle is inspired by the Kane character from the "Legacy of Kane" series (mainly the "Blood Omen 2" version). Since there are basically no real long hair hairstyles in the game, only shoulder length at most, I was very happy to see the long hair mod designed by Ikaros for female characters.

The current hairstyle combines Kane's original long hair in Blood Omen 2 with elements of the ponytail added in later games, providing a serious and elegant option for the male character.

🛠️ Installation instructions

**ModEngine 2 is recommended:**

• Download and set up ModEngine 2
• Download this module and make sure to place the module folder in the mod folder
• The path should be similar to: "ModEngine-2.0.0-preview3-win64\mod"

**Finish! ** ✅

If everything is correct, your mod folder will now contain a new/updated parts folder and menu folder.

❓ FAQ

**"Which hairstyle does this mod replace?"**

Replaced the original ugly hairstyle #16 (corresponding to 0002 in the parts folder). I also changed the thumbnail icon in the character creator so you'll see a different icon there.

**"Why not make a new hair slot?"**

I've done it in testing, but this requires regbin editing, which most people won't do themselves. So I made a replacement version as a simpler plug and play variant.

**"What armor/helmet masks are used for this hairstyle?"**

After testing, the masks used are: 60, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68 and 69. These masks set up separate hair meshes for specific armor thicknesses and helmet versions.
