Elden Ring Item and Enemy Randomizer

🎮 **The ultimate randomized experience for Elden's Circle! ** This mod completely changes the way you play, making every adventure full of surprises and challenges.

✨ Core Functions

  • **Comprehensive Randomization**: Items in the world, store products, enemy and Boss drops, and character initial equipment are all randomized
  • **Key Item Randomization**: Supports random distribution of key items to change the game process
  • **Enemy Randomization**: Most enemies can be randomized, supporting deep customization of different types of enemies
  • **HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE**: Rich options give you complete control over the level of randomization

🎯 Game experience

In standard mode, you only need two large runes and the Rodel Badge to beat the game. But with the Key Item Randomizer, especially when the bias slider is set high, Key Items can form a chain relationship. There are also options to add, change and remove big rune requirements. In the strictest mode, you must collect all 7 big runes to challenge the final boss!

🔧 Installation Guide

Installation method selection

There are two main types of modules for Elden's Circle:

  • **DLL Module**: Hook into game memory while the game is running
  • **File Mod**: Provides modified versions of game data files

This randomizer is a file module and requires one of the following tools:

  • **Auto Mod Engine (recommended)**
  • Download the randomizer zip file and unzip it
  • Click the "Start Elden Circle" button after running the randomizer
  • **Manual Mod Engine**
  • Download standalone Mod Engine
  • Place the randomizer inside the Mod Engine directory
  • **UXM approach**
  • Unpack the entire game from game saves
  • Run the randomizer program in UXM mode

🎮 Instructions for use

Option selection

Open EldenRingRandomizer.exe and select your game exe file. If you are a UXM user, please check "Export files for UXM".

**IMPORTANT NOTE**:

  • If you are re-running the randomizer, check the Files tab to make sure you have the latest version
  • To get the same run as others, you can export/import options files from the options menu

Start randomizing!

Click the "Randomize Items and Enemies" button to output the game files for the randomization run. The randomizer will create a file in the `spoiler_logs` directory containing tips and spoilers for the run you just generated.

**⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING**: **DO NOT manually copy and paste individual files** after randomization! In addition to regulation.bin, hundreds of files in the events, maps, messages, scripts, and sound directories are required for the item and/or enemy randomizer to work properly.

🔗 Compatibility

Seamless cooperation mode

The randomizer is partially compatible with Seamless Co-op. There are two main ways to set up a randomizer so that everyone has the same seed:

  • Everyone downloads the randomizer separately and runs it with the same options and seed
  • One person downloads the randomizer, runs it, and distributes the zip file to others

Foggate Randomizer

If you use the Elden Ring Fog Gate Randomizer, please read this page first to learn about the required installation steps.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

FAQ

**The game closes immediately after starting**

  • Make sure the game is installed from Steam and Steam is running
  • Check that eldenring.exe is not set to run as administrator

**No randomization of items or starting professions**

  • Check if config_eldenring.toml is edited correctly
  • It may be that the game has been updated and the game modification files of the old version can no longer be used.

📋 Item logic

Important location

Important locations are unavoidable item locations, divided into the following …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
