Improved Rakshasa's Set and Rakshasa's Beast Claws
✨ This is a simple mod I made to learn how to recolor and repaint armor parts.
🛡️ Armor changes
- **Black Fur Removed**: Removed the black fur protruding from the Rakshasa's breastplate
- **Redesigned Gauntlets**: The Malikus suit's gauntlets were remodeled and repainted to match the Rakshasa suit's color scheme, and the chain mail gloves were removed to give the gauntlets the appearance of metal claws. The hand is now visible underneath the metal
- **Leggings Repaint**: Recolored the Night Leggings to match the color scheme of the Rakshasa set
- **WEIGHT ADJUSTMENT**: Reduced the weight of the Rakshasa armor set to reflect its resistances and is now the same weight as the Night set
- **Attributes unchanged**: Resistance and toughness remain unchanged
⚔️ Weapon changes
- **Claws Repaint**: Recolored the claws to match the color scheme of the Rakshasa set
- **Life Steal Effect**: Added life steal effect to all Claw variants
- **Tachi Enhancement**: Added life stealing effect to Rakshasa Tachi
- **Steal Value**: Each attack steals 2.3% of health. It takes approximately 43 attacks to restore the full health bar.
- **War ashes can be replaced**: The battle ashes of Rakshasa Odachi can now be replaced.
- **Damage unchanged**: Damage value remains unchanged
📝 Notes
- **Default Replacement**: Armor parts will replace the Rakshasa suit by default
- **Simple Replacement**: All parts are available as simple replacers; just ignore the regulation.bin in the file
- **Hand Display**: Hands will be visible under the metal claws of the handguard only when using regulation
- **Merge files**: CSV files for merging in optional files
- **Technical Limitations**: I found a way to stop the claws from making the character's gauntlets/hands invisible, but it didn't work very well. When the hands are visible, they are simply closed in the claw's palm, which looks rather strange and is therefore not included in the change
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
