Added new menu to any Blessing to create an invisible version of any headgear
hidehelmet
🎭 **Let your character’s appearance no longer be obscured by the helmet! **
✨ Main functions
Have you ever spent a lot of time carefully designing your character's appearance in the character creation interface, only to have your beautiful face covered by an ugly helmet 99% of the time in the game? No need to worry now!
This mod adds an entirely new menu to the Blessing, allowing you to create invisible versions of any headgear as easily as a regular transformation. You can also revert to the headgear's default appearance at any time.
🛠️ Prerequisites
You need to have **Tailor's Tools**, which can be obtained from the Orc leader in the Nimgofo Coast Cave.
📥 Installation instructions
- First install Mod Engine 2
- Unzip the downloaded compressed package into the mod/ folder of Mod Engine 2. This folder should contain regulation.bin, msg/ and script/
- Run launchmod_eldenring.bat to start Mod Engine 2
🔄 File merge
If you already have the necessary files, you need to merge them.
**Merge regulation.bin:**
You can follow this tutorial. I've included the exported CSV files in the optional files, using these you can skip steps 5-8.
**Merge files in msg/ and script/:**
Requires Yabber tool:
- After unzipping Yabber, drag the existing item.msgbnd.dcx and menu.msgbnd.dcx to Yabber.exe to unpack it.
- From the optional download of the merged file, drag the folders within msg/ to the item.msgbnd.dcx/ and menu.msgbnd.dcx/ folders created by Yabber, replacing the four files
- Drag the item.msgbnd.dcx/ and menu.msgbnd.dcx/ folders created by Yabber back to Yabber.exe to repackage
- Do the same for the files in script/
---
💡 **TIP:** I have also included the source file for t000001000.esd. If you need to modify it, I'm sure you already know how. Otherwise don't worry, it will be ignored when repackaging the containing folder.
🌟 Now show off your carefully designed character’s face!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
