Hardedge (from Final Fantasy VII)
✨ **Replace the weapons in Elden's Circle with Cloud's iconic weapon Hardedge from Final Fantasy VII! **
🗡️Mod content
This mod gives you the option to replace the following weapons with Cloud's Hardedge sword:
- **Grafted Greatsword** - Dropped by the lion hybrid boss near Morn Castle
- **Broken Star Greatsword** - Obtained through Broken Star Latarn's Memories
📥 Installation method
Use ModEngine2 (recommended)
- Download and set up ModEngine2
- Open the module compressed file
- Extract the file to the '...\ELDEN RING\Game\mod\parts\' directory
Do not use ModEngine2
- Use UXM to unpack the game files and click "Patch"
- Unzip the module file to the '...\ELDEN RING\Game\parts\' directory (it is recommended to back up the original file first)
⚠️ Known issues
- Attempting to rename files to match other weapons may not work properly
- The normal map or tangent space is not perfect after importing the 3D model, and the lighting/details may sometimes look a bit strange
- There is no weapon trajectory effect, and there will be misalignment problems when trying to add it.
💡 **If you know a solution to any of these problems, please leave a comment in the posts section and I'll look into it! **

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
