Go to Linked Banished Knight and Veteran Gauntlets
🎮 **Finally someone did it! ** The mittens and duck feet on the Exiled Knight and Veteran sets sometimes really make people not want to use these pieces of equipment, at least not these two parts. Many people online agreed.
✨ Module function
- **Right Hand Gauntlet Replacement**: Replaced the right hand gauntlet of the Banished Knight set with a copy of the left hand gauntlet
- **Veteran Gauntlet Optimization**: Veteran Gauntlet is completely replaced by the Exiled Knight Gauntlet model (the two are 98% similar)
- **Resolution Selection**: Original and 4K resolution versions available
🛠️ Technical details
This modification process was quite a headache, but I finally made it happen! For the Veteran Gauntlets, I "cheated" a little - just used the Banished Knight Gauntlets model instead, since they are almost identical.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES
- **Ray tracing must be turned off! ** Turning on ray tracing when editing a mod using this type of model will cause the game to crash.
- **There may be mold wearing issues**: Especially for the veteran version, you may see a stretching effect when the character clenches his fists.
- **DO NOT PLAY ONLINE**: Using any mod will result in a ban, please use an anti-cheat switcher or Mod Engine 2
🎯 Module usage tips
Want this model to display on partners, NPCs and Teardrop replicas? Very simple:
- Find the DCX file in the parts folder
- **Make a copy** and add "_l" (underscore and lowercase L) before the period in the file name
- For example: `am_m_1660.partsbnd` → `am_m_1660_l.partsbnd`
📥 Installation Guide
**UXM installation method**
- Follow the UXM Selective Unpacker instructions to unpack the parts folder.
- Unzip this module to the location of your choice
- Place the "parts" content into the folder with the same name created by UXM
- Use UXM Selective Unpacker to patch the game
**Mod Engine 2 [Recommended]**
- Download Mod Engine 2 and place it anywhere
- Make sure there is a "parts" folder in the "mod" folder of Mod Engine 2
- Unzip this module to the location of your choice
- Place the "parts" content into a folder with the same name inside the "mod" folder
- Use Batch File launchmod_eldenring to launch the game
🗑️ Uninstall method
Just delete the DCX file in the parts folder, or the entire parts folder if this is the only mod you have installed that uses that folder. Make sure to do this when the game is not running, otherwise the armor will become invisible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
