github address:
A small utility for removing frame rate limits, changing the field of view, adding widescreen support, changing game speed, and various game modifications for Elden Ring written in C#. More features are coming soon! Patches game memory at runtime without modifying any game files.
illustrate:
If you are using a 60Hz monitor, you must use NVIDIA or AMD's own control panel to "force disable VSYNC" and enable full-screen mode in the game to unlock the frame rate limit.
If your monitor is 144Hz, you need to use the NVIDIA or AMD control panel to set the "Highest Available Refresh Rate" and run it in borderless mode for normal use.
Borderless window mode requires the game to be set to window mode first
Custom resolution supports 21:9 and overrides the default resolution, but the HUD is still 16:9
If you want to use a custom resolution and turn on borderless mode, you need to set the resolution first and then turn on borderless mode.
If you want to modify the game speed, you need to run the game first and then activate the game speed operation.
feature:
Does not modify any game files, RAM patch only, works on all game versions
Supports full screen and borderless window modes
Unlock frame rates (remove FPS limits) by setting a new custom limit or setting the lock to Unlimited
Add custom resolution, support 21/9 widescreen (will override the default 1920x1080 resolution, HUD limited to 16:9)
Increase field of view (FOV)
Set the game to borderless window mode
自带屏蔽EAC并启动游戏功能(提升帧数)
usage:
The game enforces VSYNC, which forces full screen at 60 Hz even on a 144 Hz monitor, so we have to modify that.
60 Hz monitors: Disable VSYNC via driver (use "Enhanced Sync" on AMD) and use full screen, see guide below
High refresh rate monitors: Use borderless or force the monitor to always use the highest available refresh rate then use full screen, see how to do that below
NVIDIA setup method:
Open Nvidia Control Panel
Open 3D Settings -> Program Settings
Select EldenRing from the dropdown or add it manually: Add -> Select EldenRing
Set vertical sync to off
Set "Preferred refresh rate" to "Highest available"
Run the tool and set the FPS lock to the desired frame rate
Click to start the game without EAC
This will unlock the frame rate limit
Note: If the above method does not work, please adjust the refresh rate to the highest value in the global settings of the control panel.
AMD setup method:
Open Radeon settings
Select game -> Sekiro
Set "Wait for Vertical Refresh" to "Enhanced Sync"
Launch EldenRing FPS Unlocker etc. and set FPS lock to desired frame rate
Make sure "Preferred refresh rate" is still set to "Highest available"
A small utility to remove frame rate limit, change FOV (Field of View), add widescreen supprt, alter Game Speed and various game modifications for Elden Ring written in C#. More features soon! Patches games memory while running, does not modify any game files. Works with every game version (legit steam & oh-not-so-legit), should work with all future updates.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
