Fire Knight Armor - Bronze
✨ Module Features
Change the color of the breastplate, legs, skirt and forearms to light bronze, which perfectly matches the Winged Serpent helmet and better fits the warm-toned design concept of most Fire Knight equipment.
🎮 Version selection
- **Standard Edition**: Keep the original armor structure, only make color adjustments
- **Skirtless version**: Removed the scale skirt based on color adjustment
👥 Visual effects
The modified armor will appear not only on player characters, but also on Phantoms and NPCs such as Queelign, with the same visual effect.
📥 Installation Guide
- Unzip the downloaded .rar file, which contains a "parts" folder
- Place the "parts" folder into the "mod" folder of Mod Engine 2
- If you already have the "parts" folder of other mods, you can directly put the .dcx file into it.
🎨 Design Concept
When I first discovered this armor, the color scheme confused me. Although three weapons and four helmets are designed in warm colors, the chest armor, legs and forearms are in a cold blue-gray, which is incompatible with the overall style.
I chose a warm color scheme because it fits the fire theme better and the design of the Winged Serpent Helmet is great as it is. As for the skirt, I think it covers too much of the leg details, the texture is relatively simple, and the color is too abrupt. I ended up desaturating it to match the bronze tone of the rest of the armor, and surprisingly found that this matched the scale tone of the Mesmer armor too!
🔧 Technical improvements
This time I deliberately took the time to apply modifications to the low-poly versions of each file, rather than simply copying and renaming the normal versions, to ensure the best visual results across a variety of performance settings.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
