⚠️ Important reminder
🚫 **Ray tracing must be turned off! ** Turning on ray tracing when using this type of mod that modifies the model will cause the game to crash.
🎮 **Never use mods online**, otherwise you will be banned! It is recommended to download an anti-cheat switcher and offline launcher, or use Mod Engine 2 to automatically disable anti-cheat.
🎯 Tips for use
💡 **Supports installation while the game is running** - No need to exit the game! Just switch to window borderless mode, install the mod normally, and equip the modified armor in the game.
🔧 **If you are already wearing the affected armor**: Just remove it and re-equip it to see the changes. If it still doesn't work, please completely exit all menus (including the pause menu with emoticons on the right) and re-equip.
🌟 **Make recoloring appear on partners, NPCs and clone teardrops**:
Find the DCX file in the parts folder, copy it and add "_l" (underscore and lowercase L) before the period in the file name. For example: `am_m_1470.partsbnd` → `am_m_1470_l.partsbnd`
📥 Installation method
**UXM installation**
- Unpack the parts folder according to the instructions of UXM Selective Unpacker
- Unzip this module to the selected location
- Put the "parts" content into the folder of the same name created by UXM
- Patching the game using UXM selective unpacker
**Mod Engine 2 [Recommended]** ⭐
- Download Mod Engine 2 (can be placed anywhere)
- Make sure there is a "parts" folder in the "mod" folder of Mod Engine
- Unzip this module to the selected location
- Place the "parts" content into a folder with the same name in the "mod" folder
- Use the Batch file launchmod_eldenring to launch the game
🗑️ Uninstall method
Simply delete the DCX file in the parts folder, or the entire parts folder if this is the only mod used. Make sure to do this when the game is not running, otherwise the armor will become invisible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
